Vehicle Description

An exceptional very early 1964.5 Mustang coupe

Purchased by the current owner for a large sum and then he poured more money into it to make it exceptional.  I would say he achieved his goal.

Car drives perfectly. Goes down the road just lovely

Stunning hand built stainless exhaust with stainless mufflers and finishers sounds sublime

Transmission shifts silently and without drama

Steering is tight and responsive

Power delivery is modern car quality

I can imagine it drives better than it did when new

Large receipts file

V8/289. This is the D code. The performance version in the early Mustangs. Many were 260 cubic inches whilst this is 289 Cubic inches

Auto transmission

Console

Air con (not tested)

Rally pack added for looks. Not hooked up

Spinner hubcaps.  Other wheels available from my stock by separate negotiation

Loaded with 64.5 Mustang early features. We can go over them in our discussions.
Items such as:
Smaller fender badges
Hood lip moulding
Bevelled edge before grill opening each side
Wiper bezels mounted directly to the car and recessed
Radio band starts at 600
Interior handles have spring mounting clips
Large frame mounted horns
Screw down hood stops
Bonnet hinges matt black
Fresh aire vent lever has an A on it
Shifter handle slighly smaller
Grill vent in front of the battery
Spare wheel mounts different from later cars

Power steering

Power disk brakes with dual master cyl.

I could go on and on.  You truly need to hear and drive this car to see the nearly £50k invested produced a very very nice example

Car is on consignment and thus any final decision on an offer lies with the owner

Car is located near Colchester Essex

Two car ramps on site for any inspection.
